10 Scriptures for Financial Freedom During a Crisis
We have all heard the scripture quoted “For the love of money is the root of all evil…” 1 Timothy 6:10
And I believe that because of the misrepresentation of this scripture, people often fear money. People fear having too much because it could cause them to have an evil spirit. Yes, I know…it sounds silly. But it’s not.
How many people are struggling financially that wish they could stop living from paycheck to paycheck? Here are 10 scriptures for financial freedom that you can speak over your life during a crisis.
In my daily Bible study/reading, I have been studying the subject of money and what the Bible has to say about it. While I agree with the fact that money can cause a lot of issues, I have to say that the green paper bill itself is not the reason for problems.
If you take a closer look at 1 Timothy 6:10, you will see that it is written: “for the love of money”. The issue goes much deeper than how much money you have in your wallet or purse. In the hands of a sinful soul, it can do irreparable damage. But in the hands of a God-fearing, Christ-loving soul, it can be of such great use!
This is important for you to know: God wants to bless you. He wants to allow abundance to flow in your life.
It is never His will in a person’s life to live a life full of stress, anxiety, and fear about money and finances.
A financial crisis is very real, but so is the God that you serve. He is more powerful than your financial situation. He is more powerful than a financial crisis.

Bible Verses About Financial Blessing During A Crisis
And last but not least, my favorite passage of scripture in the Bible concerning blessings and finance. This is my go-to when I need reminding that God has everything under control, especially during a financial crisis.
9. Deuteronomy 28:1, 3-6, 8 NLT “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Where you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed. The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.”
10. Deuteronomy 28:11-12 NLT “The Lord will give you prosperity in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, blessing you with many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops. The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.”
As you have read in these scriptures, there are many times God speaks about blessing His children and how we have nothing to fear when it comes to finances. Stop living paycheck to paycheck. Wealth is not a bad thing. The book of Proverbs actually states that it is a sign of wisdom.
As my husband has said many times before, “the devil has had control of God’s money long enough.” My sweet friends, it is time for us, as Christians, to rise up and claim victory over our finances so that we can be used in His Kingdom the way He needs us to be used.
