5 Hacks for a tidy home!
Hello, my sweet friend! We all know that life gets busy at times but these 5 hacks for a tidy home will help.
Life gets tiring and things go by the wayside. The main thing being our home. We are so focused on work, getting the family fed, running errands, taking the kids to respective extracurricular activities that when we finally get the chance to stop, we’re too exhausted to do anything else.
Begin these 5 daily tips today to help control some of the clutter in your home and make it tidier and inviting. We all need a refreshing, neatly arranged place to go to. And that includes you too, sweet momma.

Make your bed every morning.
I promise I’m not trying to sound like your Momma. It does work with giving your bedroom a more refreshed and tidy look.
When the sheets are smooth and tucked in just right, it creates a welcoming place for bedtime. Your bedroom should be your sanctuary. A place where you can unload and unwind at the end of a long, hard day.
Take just a few minutes every morning and get that bed made…and that includes the fancy pillows too. -
Clean your sink.
Make sure those dishes aren’t always hanging out in your sink. I realize we get busy and dishes are the last thing we want to do. But taking a few minutes out of the day to make sure the sink is empty will help you when it comes time to prepare for breakfast, lunch, or supper. I can’t stand knowing that I have the task of doing dishes, so just get it done. If your kiddos are old enough to help, get them involved and it will go much quicker. My little guy likes to help me unload the dishwasher. He is a year and a half and at this point, it’s a slow process, but I want him to learn to help now. Clean sink, clear mind.

Tidy your main living area.
Every night before you go to bed, make sure your main living area is picked up. Whatever someone would see when walking through the door, keep it tidy. In my case, that would be the kitchen, breakfast nook and living room. After the little sweets are tucked in bed, take a walk through that area and pick up items that are lying around.

Keep children’s items in their designated space.
(photo by Easy Like Sunday Morning)So, I know how little ones can be. They like to lovingly leave their toys all over the house. But when they are done playing with their toys, make sure they take them back to their room or playroom. Toys, blankets, shoes, clothes, it can all cause clutter in your main living area. Even if their room seems to be a mess, you can at least close the door! Let them play but also remind them where their things belong when they are finished. Keep their personal items and clutter in their room or playroom and keep your main living area refreshed, clean and tidy.

Everything needs a place.
This will help SO much. It helps husbands and kids to be able to help with tidying up if they know where things are supposed to be put. Mail goes in the secretary’s desk, toys in the basket or toy box, blankets in the basket or chest, remote controls in their designated place, x-box controller in its designated place. See what I’m saying? When your items have a place, it helps tidying up much quicker and stress-free.
I hope these tips help! Even if you feel that you need to add one tip, one day at a time, that is perfectly fine. I want you to know that you can do this and it will help your life run a little smoother. The children’s rooms may need to be filtered through, the bathrooms may have toothpaste in the sink, the laundry may be piling over and that’s ok. But hopefully, these tips will allow you to feel like some areas of your home are prepared for that unexpected guest. Or perhaps a more tidy home will be for your own sanity. Whatever the reason, remember Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” You just keep doing your thing, sweet momma and know that God is our ever-present help.
