My Child’s Future Spouse
Lovely Lady, I am SO thankful that you are here and are ready to pour love into your child’s life through prayer. What an amazing person you are! In this article of the series, we will focus on “My Child’s Future Spouse”. Welcome to Day 17 of the Praying Scripture Over My Child Series.

Prayer
“Lord, help my children find the Godly partner that
you are preparing for them. In your timing, give them
a spouse who will compliment them in their obedient
walk with you. I trust you to develop the character of
Jesus in their future spouse. Let their walk together
with you be an undeniable testimony that you made them
for each other. Bless them with your best.”

A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
Proverbs 31:10
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Psalms 112:1-2
1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
Devotion | My Child’s Future Spouse
Pray for your child’s future spouse. As a parent, you know your child’s strengths and you know their weaknesses. God has the perfect person already to greatly compliment your child in their walk with Him.
Pray that the road to their meeting will be beautiful and not painful. So many times young adults may become distracted and lose focus.
Pray for both of their hearts to be prepared to serve each other in Holy Union and have a desire to please and submit to the other. A marriage can greatly increase a ministry but it can also greatly hinder a ministry.
Teach your child now what they should look for in a spouse. The Bible says a virtuous woman’s price is far above rubies. Your daughter should know her virtue and your son should recognize a virtuous woman over all others.
The Bible also says that a man that fears the Lord shall be mighty upon the earth. Your son should understand what it means to have a healthy fear and respect for the Lord. He should understand what it means to submit and be humble. Likewise, your daughter should as well. A man who respects and fears the Lord will lead his family in the right direction in life.
