How To Make Personal Bible Study for Women EASIER
Reading the Bible should become one of your most favorite times of the day. If it isn’t then maybe it’s because you don’t feel that you are prepared to read and study the Word of God.
Once you have everything that you need or want to get started with your very own personal Bible Studies, you will WANT to set aside time to read the most important book of all time. The Bible is our roadmap and there such beautiful scriptures for everything that we go through.
Studying the Bible can be easy and I’m going to show you how!

Bible Study Supplies
First you want to be prepared to write down scriptures that speak to your heart, and you’ll want to highlight certain scriptures in the Bible to reference to later.
Highlighters, pens, a journal, or a bible journal guide are all great supplies to have on hand when you are studying the Bible. Take it from me, you will want to keep note of all of the wisdom and encouragement that God speaks into your spirit while studying.
Having a highlighter with a chiseled tip and smear-free will help you easily highlight each individual scripture in the Bible or in your notes without worrying about smearing into other scriptures or written words. Different colored gel pens have become my favorite for writing in my journal and color-coding what speaks to me on a particular day.
Having a beautiful journal to write in is a must! I am a visual person and when I see my personal Bible reading journal then I know what that specific journal is for. Maybe you would like to have it be a certain color, maybe you would like to have a certain image on the front, or maybe you would like it plain. However you choose, make that journal specifically for your Bible Study time and do not use it for anything else.
A guided prayer journal is also a great way to keep notes and reflections during your personal Bible Study. This particular prayer journal guide allows you to focus on the day’s verse, what you feel the Lord is teaching you, reflections on what you are thankful for, and specific prayer requests that you have.
And who doesn’t love encouraging stickers, fun washy tape, paper clips and stamps while journaling during a Bible Study?
Using a Bible cover helps you to easily contain all of your Bible Study supplies in one place. A Bible cover like this one allows you to keep your pens, highlighers, and book marks in one place. And an added handle on the outside of the cover helps you be able to carry your Bible and supplies. A Bible cover like this one allows you to carry everything that you need, including your journal!
Another item that helps make having a personal Bible Study easier is to have Bible book tabs in your Bible. Just use tabs like this and you will be able to quickly turn to the right Book of the Bible and read the scriptures you have on your heart or that is written in your devotional.
Bible Study Bibles and Devotions
Now that you have the supplies that will best help you be prepared to begin your Bible Study, where do you begin with actually reading the Bible? Let’s keep this simple…start with your favorite Bible and find a good devotion to go along with it.
The King James Version (KJV) Bible is always a great start. This is the true version of the Bible without scriptures being added or taken away from. I suggest reading and learning this version of the Bible and use other versions for reference and studying. This KJV Journaling Bible would be a great addition to your Bible collection. This one will allow you to write notes in the side of the Bible as you read, pray and study.
I also suggest the Christian Standard Bible (CSB). I have found that the scriptures in it are as close KJV that you can get and yet still be able to understand the Bible better. I will warn you that there are scriptures missing from this version, but you will find that in every new and modern version written. So just continue to reference back to KJV for the true scripture and meaning.
This is my favorite Study Bible for Women! The inside is visually beautiful (which I adore) and the commentary that pulls out the different women in the Bible is wonderful. This Bible was created for women by women. When I first got it, I could not put it down and I know you will be the same way. This is also a must for your Bible collection.
Devotionals are mostly personal preference. You can search anywhere online like DaySpring or Amazon and find devotionals to suit your specific need or what you’re going through at the moment.

Bible Study Preparation
As you can see, there are a lot of different ways that you can be prepared to study the Bible and keep note of what you feel in your daily walk with God.
But you can have all of the “things” and still not study the Bible. The best way to be prepared and to easily study the Bible is to set aside time each day that you are going to study and read the Bible.
Get alone with God and allow Him to speak into your spirit with His Word.
This is a precious moment each day where you can run to the arms of God and lay all of your cares at His feet. It’s important that you actually take the time to read the Bible.
