The Secret To Prosperity And Wealth

What are prosperity and wealth? Is there truly a secret to gaining wealth and prosperity?

Is this something we need in life?

Let’s be honest, wealth is something that everyone wants. How many times have you heard someone say they would like to win the lottery?

I’ve heard it more times than I can count. I often wish that I could ask these people “What would change in your life if you won?”

Is it contentment that people are seeking? Is it financial freedom? Perhaps they would love to be generous and give if they were to win the lottery.

We all wonder at times if there truly is a secret to prosperity and wealth.

What Is Wealth?

Wealth is an abundance of valuable possessions or money. The state of being rich; material prosperity. Plentiful supplies of a particular resource.

Wealth does not necessarily mean rich.

Wealth means being mindful of your finances and building upon something that God has given you favor over. It’s about being mindful of the purchases you make and how you choose to spend your money.

One can be rich all day long, but it does not mean it is sustainable.

Wealthy people also know how to spend their time.

I once came across a very successful person while browsing the internet, and he talked about how he conducted his day as a successful business owner.

The very first thing he did when he woke up every day was to read the Bible.

He knew where his help came from. He was very wise in the way he chose to spend his time.

I would like to think that wealth is associated with being wise.

Ecclesiastes 7:19 “Wisdom makes the wise person stronger…”

How wise are you when it comes to your time, money, financial decisions and mindset?

What is Prosperity?

Prosperity is the state of being prosperous. To succeed in material terms; be financially successful. To flourish physically; grow strong and healthy. To make successful.

Ecclesiastes 7:14 “In the day of prosperity be joyful…God has made the one as well as the other.”

God allows people to be prosperous.

Think of all of the wonderful ways that you can advance the Kingdom of God when you become wealthy and prosperous!

I’m on a mission to change the mindset of Christians to understand that money can do good things when it is in the hands of the right people.

As my husband says often “The devil has had control of God’s money long enough.”

How To Get Prosperity

It’s time for Christians to rise up and determine that we will do GOOD in the Kingdom of God where money is concerned.

I understand that we have been taught that the love of money is the root of all evil.

1 Timothy 6:10 CSB “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”

I believe this wholeheartedly. It is very true that we cannot allow lust and love for what money can bring us to turn our thoughts and minds away from what God wants to do through us.

There are so many scriptures in the Bible where the Lord expresses His desire to open up the windows of Heaven and pour out blessings and abundant prosperity.

If you will go read the first half of Deuteronomy 28, you will see how much the Lord wants to give us and do for us.

Deuteronomy 28:11-12 CSB “The Lord will make you prosper abundantly…The Lord will open for you His abundant storehouse, the sky, to give your land rain in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.”

This excites me!

What could you do in your community with an abundance of wealth?

How many missions trips could you fund for those trying to spread the gospel in places we haven’t been?

How could you help your local homeless shelter?

Because we know the Bible says “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed

down, shaken together, and running over” (Luke 6:38)” 

This could be the true secret to prosperity and wealth. Giving!

The Milk and Honey Life

The Lord promised that He would allow the Israelites to live in the land flowing with milk and honey.

Are you living in the land of flowing with milk and honey in this season of your life? 

Meaning of milk and honey: Prosperity and Abundance. A place of comfort and luxury.

Deuteronomy 26:9 “He led us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.”

Deuteronomy 27:3 “…the land the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has promised you.”

Jeremiah 32:22 “You gave them this land you swore to give to their ancestors, a land flowing with milk and honey.”

It is possible to live in a season of life where there are abundance, prosperity, and wealth flowing. You can live in the land of “more than enough” because we serve God Almighty – El Shaddai. 

Receiving wealth and prosperity can be more than a dream when we are living a righteous life unto God. He is no respecter of person’s and what He has done for one, He will do for another. I think we all need to dive into the Bible and also pray and ask God how we can use money for good.
